Portable Magnetic Separator is most useful magnetic separator for separating iron from non-magnetic processed in bulk quantity for purity of end product, metal having commercial value. The crushed material from roller crusher which is the mixture of both metal contaminates & sand contaminates now fed through magnetic drum separator. As the material evenly through a vibrating feeder falls over the drum, powerful magnetic field attracts & hold iron particles to the revolving shell & the sand contaminates falls freely from the shell while iron particles are automatically discharged at the other end. The permanent magnets used are everlasting & its strength does not diminish during the normal use.

It is so made that one side is magnetized and the other side is not.

 

 

Operating Principle :

 

 

Only one side of the magnetic drum is magnetized and the other side is not magnetized. The stainless steel 304 shell which surrounds the magnet rotates freely and the magnet is stagnant. The ferrous particles that get attracted to the magnet are collected separately.

Applications :

It is ideally used in Ceramic, Chemical, Glass, Fertilizer and food industry separates iron particles from granules and powder. The magnetic drums are suitable for capacities up to 2tons per hour can be given on short deliveries. They have a varying dimension of 300mm. To 600mm. The diameter and length varies up to 1500mm and has a capacity to handle 10 tonnes.

Construction :

The magnetic drum separator consists of a number of oriented, isotopic permanent magnets that are assembled to give alternate polarity across the circumference dependent on the application. The magnetic intensity of the electro magnets is not all that more than permanent magnets. As rectifier and electricity is not used to operate this machinery hence they operate at low costs and also during power failures.

Electromagnetic separators are designed to successfully remove damaging tramp metal from flow of coal, limestone, sand, gravel, wood products, recycled materials and almost any conveyed non-ferrous material. As the Electro Suspension Magnets on a cross conveyor belt flows under the powerful magnetic field, ferrous material is pulled out of the product flow and held to the face of the magnet. With self- cleaning models, continuous cleaning is made possible by a heavy duty cross conveyor belt that encircles the magnet on a series of rotating pulleys. As ferrous metal is attracted and held by the suspension magnet, the moving belt carries the collected metal outside of the magnetic field where it is then released beyond the product flow.

Permanent Suspended Magnets are useful to remove undesired metal from heavy burden depths of material, which is conveyed on fast moving cross belt. These permanent suspended magnets with cross belt separators are equally effective on dry or wet, fine or coarse material for the application of separation. Permanent suspended magnets are used on a large scale because they are maintenance free and do not require power source.

Permanent Magnetic Grids are designed primarily for hoppers for the extraction of ferrous metals from free flowing materials such as plastics, food, grains and minerals. Manufactured to any size or shape they are simply placed in the hopper to rest against the sides thus allowing the materials to flow through the grid. Two styles of magnetic grids are available in round and rectangular / square. Both are constructed of stainless steel with 1” diameter. Magnetic Tubes available in ferrite and high power rare earth magnetic material. Magnetic tube are made as per customers specification and are used to remove ferrous tramp metal contaminant.
